Q: HEALTHY BREAKUP?

A: HEALTHY BREAKUP is a publication about the stories and systems we outgrow — and what happens when we stop pretending “that’s just how it’s always been.”

Each week it pulls apart the forces shaping us — belief, power, and money — to ask what’s breaking us, what’s worth saving, and what needs to be rebuilt from scratch.

Q: Why Subscribe?

A: Because leaving behind a system that harms you isn’t betrayal — it’s survival. Sometimes it’s faith, sometimes it’s your politics, sometimes it’s Wall Street’s favorite myth. The point is the same: breakups are painful, but they make room for what’s next.

What you’ll find here

  • Belief: Faith that bends, breaks, and rebuilds. Why theology isn’t theology if it can’t handle your questions.

  • Power: Politics and policy stripped of team colors. Who wins, who loses, and who gets erased in the process.

  • Money: Markets, economics, and technology — the stories that drive them, and the ways they quietly run the world.

Q: Charles Samuel?

A: Hey, I’m Charles Samuel — executive by day, writer by compulsion, and professional pot-stirrer by reputation.

I run a marketing firm that helps brands grow, but my obsession has always been interrogating the things we call “normal.” The things we’ve inherited without batting an eye.

Faith that shuts down doubt. Politics that call empathy weakness. Markets that quietly decide the future while everyone’s arguing about culture wars.

HEALTHY BREAKUP is my way of stirring the pot without apology — because sometimes all that scum needs to come to the surface.
